Continuous Error in Server Log

Hi All,

I have some applications deployed on weblogic 8.1. In server logs I have seen a warning and an error message very frequently. I am not able to understand the root cause. Please help me.

i have installed weblogic 8.1 and developed intranet application.
but weblogic server automatically stops during using the application.

In console it shows the error as

Weblogic Server does not start

My weblogic server was working well before I redployed my application. Now it don't start. It stops at this point.

<Notice> <Log Management> <BEA-170019> <The server log file C:\bea\user_projects\domains\mydomain\myserver\myserver.log is opened. All server side log events will be written to this file. >

After this nothing comes up. Waited for more than 20 minutes but server does not proceed further. Can some one help me out with this.

Hi all,
I have simple struts app.
Flow of app as:
Action call(.do call)> DB interaction (fetch huge data)>bring back and show on jsp page

we are not using any BEA pooling. So there is no question that there is BEA conn pool time out. we have tested this application in test environment and it is taking aroun 20 min to display page but it never shows Error 500. on the other hand, when we deployed this production, it is giving error 500 if request taked more that 1.5 min to preocess.

If request is getting completed (including data fetch from DB) withing 1.5 min, the jsp page will be shown.

Any help and suggestions are highly appreciable.

Hi everyone,

I am creating a custom MBean in a web app. I have defined the interface for the custom MBean and implemented it, and also written the listener class which implements 'ApplicationLifecycleListener'. I have been using the following documentation for the majority of the project:

why WebContent is getting included in URL?

When I run my .portlet file in work studio (I do run on server) I get following URL in my browser:

http://localhost:7001/myApp/WebContent/portlets/A.portlet (http://localhost:7001/myApp/WebContent/portlets/A.portlet)

And I get "404 - page not found" since 'WebContent' somehow getting included in the URL.

When I run http://localhost:7001/myApp/portlets/A.portlet (http://localhost:7001/myApp/portlets/A.portlet) URL, I get the portlet.

I suppose it's related to context path. I tried hard but couldn't find any solution of it.

Why my URL is getting changed?

Any one created .laf file (look and feel file) in weblogic portal? What other files it needs?

I am getting en error - can't find skin.properties file. But I searched on net, it says in portal 10.2 we don't need skin.properties file, we need skin.xml file which is there in my workspace...

Any idea?

In my application the database driver and dburl are configured to weblogic specific. They are defined in weblogic web.xml. I am using the same web.xml for the websphere also.

Hi,I'm using weblogic 9.2 to construct J2EE project with EJB3.0

According to some hint,I deleted related cache folder like \user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\AdminServer\tmp\_WL_user
and the weblogic is develop mode.

But all changes do not work after cache clean up.

Appreciate you can give me some advice on this !

Hi

When I am starting up my Weblogic Server 8.1 in Prodcution Mode ,
It use to deploy my EAR.

While starting up , in "portalServer.log" file, it use to display

"<Classifications file poller not started for uri: [Portal]. Not in development mode or not exploded .ear or .war.>"

message.

I want some info around this message.
What is the meaning of this message and why is it coming while starting up the server.

I am new to weblogic. I was trying to deploy my application war file.
When I am clicking on http://localhost:7001/myApp, (http://localhost:7001/myApp,) I am getting the following error :

It seems that form bean can't have custom objects. For example:

class Employee {
private Salary salary = null;
private String name = null;
// getter and setter method for salary and name
}

class Salary {
private float amount = 0.0f;

If I use Employee as a form bean. I can't get the amount like this:

${actionForm.salary.amount}

But I can get name:

${actionForm.name}

I am currently working on an migration project from weblogic to websphere. My application is a very simple application and mostly contains static pages.I have my ear file ready tested in weblogic. I want to deploy that ear file in websphere application server and test it.I have my websphere application profile created for my application in development.All I need to need is just deploy ear file in websphere application server and test it.

Can anyone please let me know the exact procedure and necessary changes that would be required to migrate my application to websphere.My application has only jsps servlets and static htmls.

Hi

I have a cluster on weblogic 8.1 sp6 with two managed servers and when I deploy my application onto that I get NoClassDefFoundError while looking up (jndi lookup) the session bean on the managed server which comes up second.

I have checked the JNDI trees on both servers and they look good and I have checked that the application(and EJB) are deployed on both the managed servers through the admin server console.

The client that I am trying to look up from is deployed on another ear (diff. application).

Also there are some other beans deployed on the same ear which I am able to look up.

If I deploy this application on a cluster where both the managed servers are on the same machine...

Perm size for managed servers

I have a weblogic domain with one admin server and two managed server. I was getting Permgen - OutOfMemoryException for both admin server and managed servers.

I updated setDomainEnv.sh file and increased Perm size and it seems that it worked for admin server. But not for managed server.

How do I update Perm size for managed server?

Have to develop a portal application which will have some typical functionality, will interact with database, MQ and call some web services to job done.

My approach is:

Hi everyone,

I am looking to create a custom object in weblogic server. For example, if I wanted to create an object and have, say, 5 String attributes, 8 int attributes, and 4 long attributes. Someone suggested creating a deployable application (a webapp) and then create the custom object in that application. I am a newbie to this stuff so I dont know how to implement that. Is this somehow related to using JSPs? Also, does anyone know if this can be done using Weblogic Scripting Language (WLST). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi All,

I am trying to implement Transport Level Security (user name and password) in Web Service using weblogic 8.1. I use servicegen an task to generate war file. The web.xml does not contain anything. Is there anyway i can do it?
If this is not possible, the other way i was thinking was replacing the web.xml generated with my own web.xml with all the security settings.

I made one simple Portal Application in it.
I have successfully created that Portal Application.
When i hitting the Portal Appication URL ,"_nfpb = true" parameter use to get automatically attached to URL in Web Browser.

So, I have question around this parameter.

1. What does this parameter [_nfpb ] signifies ?
2. Why is it automatically getting attached to URL in browser ?
3. What does _nfpb parameter value "true" means ?

Hi,

I am having a strange problem.
I dont need a weblogic server for my application, but I am accessing a web service which needs 'weblogic.jar'.

SO I copied weblogic.jar in my 'lib' directory and tried, it failed!

But, When I installed weblogic on my machine and gave the path of weblogic.jar inside the installed directory like "D:\bea\weblogic92\server\lib\weblogic.jar", it worked!

Why it is not recognizing the weblogic.jar in my lib directory???

I am using weblogic 8.1 and oracle 10g.My application is running as standalone and access the database via weblogic datasource(using JNDI lookup).Same weblogic and database server my webapplication running fine.
But in standalone application try to execute the query following exception occurs.

Hi All,

I am trying to migrate my application my application from weblogic to websphere. My application is tested in weblogic and it is perfectly ok. When I try to import this EAR file in WSAD,it says the .project file is missing and cannot deploy.

Tried two ways to import:

1) In wsad File--->Import--->ear file--->browsed and selected my ear file

Error: EAR Open ErrorMETA-INF/application.xml

2) In wsad File--->Import--->Existing project into work space--->selected the project folder.

Error: .project file is missing.

can anyone help me out inthis.

Hello there,

I have installed weblogic 6.1 SP3 like admin console and the servers are 6.1 SP7 on windows2000 and I want create the standard out and standard error with the next options:

-Dweblogic.Stdout=log_name.txt
-Dweblogic.Stderr=log_name.txt

I set these options on the register windows server(in command line)but when I restart the service the logs can�t be generated.

When I try to validate my jar using the web builder tool (using Validate descriptors option from Tools--->Validate descriptors)

I am getting the following error.

hello joe here

i have installed eclipse 3.0 I.D.E. and download

bea-wls-tools-1.1.3.200803030606.zip and i unzipped and it contains a directory structure as eclipse\features and also eclipse\plugins .

i copied the features folder and move to eclipse(Where I.D.E installed)

and paste there and copied the content of plugins folder and paste inside the plugins (where I.D.E installed).

then i start my eclipse I.D.E.

it has a menu as weblogic, and it has a submenu start
