Internationalization problem in req.getParameter ()

In Weblogic, req.getParameter() gives encoded data which we need to decode to get value【Number坑坼】string

But in websphere, req.getParameter() directly gives 【Number坑坼】[Looks like WebSphere handles decoding part before returning data]. So the code for decoding logic fails as it tries to decode the data which is already decoded.

In websphere,-Ddefault.client.encoding=UTF-8 argument is specified as a generic JVM argument. If we remove this argument the application is running fine.

Is anyone aware of this behavior?

Hi,

I am coming to grips with the Weblogic 9.2 admin console. I am trying to view a war file that I have deployed in my web browser. However, when I go to Clusters, select my cluster, click the "Deployments" tab, click my application, and click the "Testing" tab, what is listed under "Test Point" next to the default line is

null/nps_config_gui

and when I click on this link I get a 404. What does this mean and how can I figure out why I'm unable to visit my application?

Thanks, - Dave

Hi everyone,

I am looking to create a custom object in weblogic server. For example, if I wanted to create an object and have, say, 5 String attributes, 8 int attributes, and 4 long attributes. Someone suggested creating a deployable application (a webapp) and then create the custom object in that application. I am a newbie to this stuff so I dont know how to implement that. Is this somehow related to using JSPs? Also, does anyone know if this can be done using Weblogic Scripting Language (WLST). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Harinder

I'm trying to migrate my weblogic from 8.1 to 9. I did the domain upgrade successfuly.

When we start a WebLogic Server, it takes the following actions:

1. Retrieves its configuration and bootstrap security data.
2. An Administration Server retrieves the configuration and security data from the domain's configuration files. A Managed Server contacts the Administration Server for its configuration and security data. If you set up SSL, a Managed Server uses its own set of certificate files, key files, and other SSL-related files and contacts the Administration Server for the remaining configuration and security data.

Security Service
RMI Service
Cluster Service
IIOP Service
Na...
