I have a peace of code that reads a tiff image that goes something like this:

Hi,

I'm porting a web based ERP reporting system. We have the requirement of printing html generated reports. I have no problem with pdf and excel exporters, but I'm not able to generate print friendly html reports. When i print a report, it doesn't fit the A4 page size, even i define that size for the report.

I'm working with jasperreports 2.0.5 and ireport.

�Could you point me out what is the problem behind HTML printing, and if there is a solution for my requirements using jasper reports engine?

Hi there! I'm going to process an image by its pixels, when I finish that I'll create the new image with the updated pixels. I'm wondering whether I should use the PixelGrabber class and its grabPixels() method or the BufferedImage and its getRGB()/setRGB methods, or other.
BTW, I'm only going to do some simple operations on pixels, such us grey scale transformation.

iText getDpiX() returns zero and cannot maintain originality in .png

I am trying to print a .png file into pdf and I want the same clarity inside the pdf.
I was trying to
png.scalePercent(72f / jpg.getDpiX() * 100);
but getDpiX() returns zero.
Is there any way to keep the images as it is in pdf rather than default dpi.
The images are large in number and I cannot do something like
png.scalePercent(75);

Please provide me a mechanism where I can preserve the originality of any .png image on pdf.

Can I do the following:

Hi!!

I have developed an application, where we can be able to download excel sheet. Excel task uses the jxl.jar library. Everything works fine for me.

The problem is related to float value in excel sheet. The value displayed are exactly correct in excel sheet which matches my database data. But when we click on the cell value, it shows a float value with 11 digits of precision. But i want the exaclty the same value, even when i highlight by clicking on the cell.

Dear Ranchers,
I want to make a Media Organizer which allows a user to edit his music file details as one of the features.
For that I need to know how to access those details (like Title, Artist, Genre).
I went through Java Media Framework and seriously all I understood was that it provides a player for playing media files.
Is JMF the package that will provide me with classes and methods to access those details?

Hey,
I am getting java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError when I am trying to access a function from my dll.I have ensured that the library loads, the function's name is not mangled, have set the PATH variable correctly, the library has no dependencies.
Am I missing something here?

I am using JNI in a servlet deployed on Tomcat 5.0.

I am trying to invoke a third party API, which internally performs some native calls. I hit the following error and the JVM crash follows.

I can access the "SomeClass" from my eclipse and even it is available in the java classpath. In general, is there any standard place from where the native code tries to load the jar files ? Any hints on how I can debug this ?

I need to print a pdf to a printer. I'm able to get the pdf to print, but it doesn't actually print the pdf, it just prints characters across numerous pages, when it should have printed Hello World!.

I want to achieve the following:

I need to cut out an arbitrarily rotated rectangular area of undefined size of an image, then scale it to a predefined size in pixels.

i have setted the class path for activation.jar and mail.jar.here i am using the JBOSS 3.2.6 please help me out of this.

We are planning to design an e-mail notification system with following requirement considerations:

1. Email notification will be event based e.g. Adddress Changs etc.

2. Certain events will have higher priority against other events in such a case mails for higher priority events should be sent first and for low or medeium pririty events should be sent later.

3. Bulk emails should be queued and then sent across to SMTP server. The load should be evenly balanced.

4.There should be a logging mechanism to track the status of emails sent (delivered, failure, bounced).basically we should get a status of mail(s)sent logging to file/database will not be an issue once we get ...

I don't know of a way to check that the JNIEnv passed to a function is valid. I want to be able to call javaVM->GetEnv(...) to make sure it's a valid env, but I don't want to be relaoding it if unecessary. So if it is valid, will the call to GetEnv just return or does it fully reload it?

Is there a way to check if it is valid?

I know that when you do "synchronized( obj )" in Java, it will sit and wait until it gets the lock on the object and THEN do the code inside the synch'd block (right?). Does MonitorEnter do this as well, or does it return instantly no matter what?
